The Sect Of Tulip – Vinyl Noise

The only work (a remix CD was apparently released in the 2010s) by The Sect Of Tulip, a Miyagi-born group with a total of eight players, including leader Taku Kawamura, Jiro Sakahumi, Ittoshinbez. The recordings were made between 1979 and 1981. Contains a total of 7 tracks in a pre-new wave psychedelic and underground atmosphere, with a DIY spirit, consisting of echoy guitars/drums, wandering bass, keyboards/synths, moans.. Each track is a surprise to the listener, with a radical sense of style that is the very essence of self-released stuff. A handmade edition in a white sleeve with a paper cover, and the number of copies produced is said to be either 30 or 50. Incidentally, the photo is from the Vietnam War, and appears to be a reference to Christ. It will probably be difficult to get it back in stock, so don't miss out.

宮城で生まれたリーダー川村卓、坂踏ジロ、いっとしんべを筆頭に総勢8人の演奏者が参加したグループThe Sect Of Tulipによる唯一作（2010年代にリミックスCDが発売されている模様。これも自主？）。録音は79年から81年に行われたもので、ニューウェーブ以前のサイケデリックでアンダーグラウンドな雰囲気の中、エコーの効いたギター/ドラム、彷徨うベース、キーボード/シンセ、ノイズ、うめき声等で構成されたDIY精神が貫かれた全7曲を収録。どの曲も先鋭的センスを感じさせる極北とも言える内容に驚かされるばかり。白スリーブにペーパーが張り付けられたハンドメイド仕様の生産枚数は30枚とも50枚とも言われる超稀少盤。ちなみにインサートにも戦争について言及されていますが写真はベトナム戦争時のもの、歌詞はキリストについて語られているようです。お値段張ってしまいますがどうぞお見逃しなく。
