Catalogue No. 2 from Osaka-based Night Gallery label, whose releases include Yoran and Duppi. Experimental group The Gurdjieff, whose members are unspecified, presents a mysterious and progressive worldview, just like its name, which refers to an Armenian mystical thinker. Contains the ethereal sounding ambient electronics "S.P.I.Ritual", the intense swirling electronic avant track "Optical Illusion", and experimental track "Oratorio" where various sounds are synchronized with synth sounds. Just amazing overall. If I could go back to that time, want to see the thier live.
Yoranや Duppiなどがリリースしている大阪Night Galleryの2番。メンバーは不特定で活動していたというエクスペリメンタル・グループThe Gurdjieffによるもので、アルメニア神秘思想家を掲げたその名のようにミステリアスかつプログレッシブな世界観を披露。幽玄な響きのアンビエント・エレクトロニクス”S.P.I.Ritual”、渦を巻くような強烈な電子アヴァン曲”Optical Illusion”、様々な音がシンセ音とシンクロするエクスペリメンタルな”Oratorio”を収録。めっちゃいい。ライブ音源聞いてみたいです。
