Luis Alberto Spinetta, the one and only musician and national hero of Argentina, whose birthday, January 23, is celebrated as National Musicians' Day. Starting with Almendra, then Pescado Rabioso, Invisible, Spinetta Jade, and solo works, you know that each work still has a lot of influence. This is the first album by the newly formed Spinetta Jade, following his US debut "Only Love Can Sustain" in 1980, which was composed entirely of English poetry. Hector "Pomo" Lorenzo continues from Invisible on drums, the master Beto Satragni plays bass, and Diego Rapoport and Juan Del Barrio play synth/keyboards, which offer a glimpse of a new outlook. Simply top of Spinetta piece ranging from instrumental songs that run smoothly and undulating with electronic sounds, emitting a characteristic melancholy that only Spinetta can produce, to songs that are intoxicating with mellowness and vocals. I still remember the impact of seeing this jacket for the first time. Some stains/wears on the jacket, the disc is in good shape.
生誕日である1月23日はナショナル・ミュージシャン・デイとして祝されるというアルゼンチンの国民的英雄にして唯一無二の音楽家Luis Alberto Spinetta。Almendraから始まり、Pescado Rabioso、Invisible、Spinetta Jadeそしてソロ名義とその作品群は現在においても多くの影響を与えているのはご存知だと思います。本作は80年の全編英詩のUSデヴュー作”Only Love Can Sustain”に次いで、新たに結成され発表されたSpinetta Jadeのファーストアルバム。ドラムはInvisibleから引き続きHector "Pomo" Lorenzo、ベースに名手Beto Satragniそして新たな展望が垣間見えるシンセ/キーボードにDiego RapoportとJuan Del Barrioの二人を配置。電子音がうねりながらスピネッタにしか出しえない独特の哀愁を放ち流れるように疾走していく、歌なしでこんな曲が書けるのかといつ聞いても感銘を受ける名曲”Amenabar”にはじまり、タイトルに見える魂が宿ったスピネッタ流バラード”Alma De Diamante”、華麗なクロスオーヴァーしたジャズロック・ナンバー”Dale Gracias”、憂いと官能的なメロウネスに満ち満ちた”Con La Sombra De Tu Aliado”をA面。アコギと電子サウンドが混ざり合いスピネッタ独特の浮遊感がたまらない”La Diosa Salvaje”、迷宮的な世界観を描きスリリングな演奏がかっこよすぎる”Digital Ayatollah”、最後を締めるメロウネスとヴォーカルに酔いしれる”Sombras En Los Álamos”。問答無用のクラシック。このジャケットを初めて見たインパクトは未だに忘れません。ジャケットにシミ/汚れあり、盤は少しチリパチしますが良好な部類という印象です。オリジナルです。
