Luiz Bonfá, a leading Brazilian bossa nova musician active since the 1940s, is a unique guitarist who simultaneously weaves bass, chords, and melody with just six strings and ten fingers. This work is considered one of his most unique multi-track recordings piece from his American period in 1972. Although he released two albums under a contract with RCA in the U.S., they apparently struggled commercially, so he took a more experimental approach with this entirely instrumental album that could be described as too ealry Onkyoukei. The music is elegantly expressed throughout, conveying deep emotion, melodies that resonate with each note savored, warmth, romanticism, and at times a melancholic tone. A true masterpiece that showcases Bonfá's foresight, blending complexity and delicacy. It seems it was not well understood at the time. This 2001 CD reissue is also extremely rare. The original LP is a mega-rare.
ベース・和音・旋律をたった6本の弦と10本の指で同時に紡ぎ出す特殊ギタリストであり40年代より活動するブラジルを代表するボサノバ演奏家Luiz Bonfá。本作は彼の多くの作品でも最もユニークとも言われるアメリカ期の72年の多重録音作品。米RCAとの契約で二枚のアルバムをリリースも商業的には厳しいものだったようでそこでより実験的に挑んだ早すぎた音響派とも言える全編インスト仕様。深い情感、一音一音かみしめるように響き渡る旋律、温かみ、ロマンシズム、時には物憂げで全編優雅に表現されている。複雑さと繊細さが融合されたようなボンファの先見性が見て取れる超傑作。当時はやはり全く理解されなかったようです。こちらも非常に稀少となっている2001年のCDリイシュー版。オリジナルLPはメガレア。
