7” EP by Lucinha Lira, a singer still active mainly in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, located in northeastern Brazil. The year of release is unknown, but it is estimated to be around the mid-80s. A project by the university, it includes songs that have been passed down from generation to generation in the area, but have been arranged in a modern way. The highlight is "Praieira" which is sung softly with impresive synth code and percussion leading the way. In addition, the MPB number "Terra Querida", which has tight performance, and the samba MPB "Adeus meu Rosário" are also quite good. This is probably one that very few people know about.
ブラジル北東部に位置するリオ・グランデ・ド・ノルテ州を中心に現在も活動しているシンガーLucinha Liraによる7インチシングル。リリース年は不明ですが80年代半ば頃かと推測されます。大学の企画による、その地に代々伝わる歌のようですが現代的にアレンジがなされた好曲を収録しています。まず幽玄なシンセとパーカッションがリードする中しっとり歌われる”Praieira”が極上。その他タイトな演奏が印象的なMPBナンバー”Terra Querida”、サンバMPB”Adeus meu Rosário”もかなりいいです。おそらくほとんど知られていない一枚です。
