1982 duo album by two guitarists left behind at ECM. Both seem to have backgrounds in pop and fusion bands, though many details remain unknown. However, there's no doubt that this was a talented duo, able to manipulate from the fast playing seen on "Karussell" to the delicate tones of emotional playing. The work of master engineer Martin Wieland, who creates a sound that expands with depth, is also not to be missed. Highly recommended for fans of Bill Frisell, Steve Tibbetts, and Steve Eliovson. A hidden gem.
ECMに残されたギタリスト二人による82年のデュオ作品。両名ともポップバンドやフュージョンバンドでの経歴があるようだが詳細の多くは不明。しかしながら”Karussell”に見るような早弾きから情緒的に弾かれる繊細な音色までも操る実力派デュオであるのは間違いない所。奥行きを持ちながらサウンドが広がっていく名エンジニアMartin Wielandの仕事ぶりも見逃せない。Bill Frisell, Steve Tibbetts, Steve Eliovsonの作品を好まれる方には大推薦。隠れた名作。
