Congreso – Estoy Que Me Muero...

Congreso, a band representing Chile, was formed in Quilpue in 1969, and continued to be active even during the 20-year dictatorship, with changes in members, and in 2019 they celebrated their 50th anniversary. This was released in 1986 and was based on the theme of a fictional African navigator's view of Chile (with various connotations under the military regime), and The some members left the band, and Jorge Campos and Jaime Vivanco of Fulano, also a well-known band, joined the band to add more creativity and anomalies to the album. The soft/mellow fusion sound of "Canción De Nkwambe" and elegant fusion-jazz track "Nocturno" are particularly impressive. Comes in the original cassette version.

チリ・キルプエにて1969年に結成されて以降、メンバーを変更しながら20年に及ぶ独裁政権期でも活動を続け2019年には結成50年を迎えたチリを代表するバンドCongreso。本作は86年にリリースされた、架空のアフリカ人航海士が見たチリの姿をテーマ（軍事政権下にて様々な意味合いが込められたもの）とした作品にして、メンバー脱退に伴いこちらも名バンドとして知られるFulanoのJorge CamposとJaime Vivancoが参加し創造性が増した変則アンサンブルが収められています。中でも柔らかなフュージョンサウンドを奏でる”Canción De Nkwambe”と優雅なフュージョン・ジャズ・トラック”Nocturno”は秀逸。86年のオリジナルカセット版。
