1991 album by the Catalan folk ensemble Coanegra was left on the label Blau, run by Joan Bibiloni, a Balearic icon from Mallorca. It contains total 9 phantasmagoric tracks that are full of the atmosphere of the Mediterranean Sea, a place that has swallowed up a variety of different cultures. Includes the Mediterranean fusion of “Galeig” seems to float on the dazzling surface of the sea, “Mar De Moros” is a gypsy-like ensemble that seems to run across the continent, and percussion-led "So De Pastera” with a dry string sound and flute that invites exuberance. A great piece of progressive folk music unique to Spain.
