Syliphone is a national label based in Conakry, Guinea, which operated from 1967 to 1984 and has a lot of african unique releases. It encouraged the creation of modern arrangements of traditional songs from each region, and by using electric guitars and saxophones instead of kora and balafon, experimental and creative approaches were developed and matured one after another. It is now said to have produced "the most sublime and influential music ever produced in any country in West Africa". This is 1983 release work by Camayenne Sofa, a large band of 14 young students and musicians. The best tracks are “Labhante” which could be called African Balearic with its euphoric electric guitar reverb and smooth development, and “M' Badenu” with its minimalism repetition and electrified mellow groove. The other songs are not bad either. Great african piece. There is a scratch on B1 (which is noticeable) and hairlines on some parts, but the key parts including the two tracks mentioned above, are in pretty good condition.

名作揃いの作品を残すギニア・コナクリを拠点に1967年から1984年まで運営されていた国営レーベルSyliphone。それぞれの地域の伝統的な歌を現代にアレンジする事が推奨され、コラとバラフォンの代わりにエレキギターとサックスを使う事により実験と創造的アプローチが発展し成熟を遂げた作品が次々と創り出されたようです。現在では”西アフリカのどの国でもこれまでに生み出された中で最も崇高で影響力のある音楽”を作り出したと評されています。本作は若い学生とミュージシャンで構成されていた14人編成のバンドCamayenne Sofaの83年作。なんと言ってもB面に収録のエレキギターのリバーブが多幸感をもたらし滑らかな展開が続くバレアリックとも言えそうな”Labhante”とミニマルな反復と電化されたメロウ・グルーヴが紡ぐ”M'Badenu”が最高の仕上がり。他の曲も悪くないです。録音も当時のアフリカからするとこだわったものだったとか。彼らの最高傑作と思います。B1にスクラッチ（音に出ます）、所々ヘアラインありますが上記2曲含め要所はまずまずのコンデションと思います。
