C. Memi, a.k.a. Megumi Fukui, was active as a member of the folk unit "Anzu" in the 1970s. She was influenced by the new wave scene in New York that she visited later, after releasing a masterpiece single as a member of Neo Matisse, she released this 7"EP in 1983 under her solo name. It includes minimal wave "Ishin-Denshin" with ethereal synths, fairy-tale chanson tune "C'est Une Chanson", the piano accompaniment "For Monster Of Dr. Frankenstein", avant-wave tune "Hitojichi" with punkish electronic sounds that gradually takes a crazy turn, and touching dreamy synth-pop "Heavenly Peace". She played all the parts, which is full of her charm.
70年代にはフォークユニット"杏"として活動した福井めぐみことC.Memi。その後に訪れたニューヨークのニューウェーヴシーンに影響を受け、Neo Matisseの一員として傑作シングルをリリース後、83年にソロ名義にて発表したのが本作。幽玄なシンセが舞うミニマル・ウェーヴ”Ishin-Denshin”、メルヘンなシャンソン”C'est Une Chanson”、ピアノの弾き語り”For Monster Of Dr. Frankenstein”、パンキッシュな電子音が差し込み入り徐々に狂った展開になっていくアヴァン・ウェーブ”Hitojichi”、そして最後の感動的なドリーミー・シンセ・ポップ”Heavenly Peace”の5曲。全てのパートを自ら演奏した彼女の魅力が詰まった志向の名作。
