The true sui generis Annette Peacock's 1983 work. That said, it's a release reconstructing unreleased tracks from 1974 to 1983, featuring a selection of edgy pieces ranging from free jazz, avant-garde, electronic music, to spoken-word performances. Particularly outstanding are “1/2 Broken” which drifts with strange emotional atmosphere as percussion, electronic sounds, and sound effects interject, “No Winning, No Losing” which feels like a home-recorded improvisational session with guitarist David Terry and “Both” tense session with the brilliant percussionist Roger Turner. We would rate this album as one of her best.
