Agustin Pereyra Lucena, a pioneer of bossa nova in Argentina, recorded this album in 1980 as a quartet with local musicians in Norway, where he stayed for a long period of time. It includes covers by Ivan Lins, Jobim, Joan Donato, and Baden Powell, as well as four original tunes. First of all, 15 minutes long original track "Encuentro De Sombras", starts with a spiritual beginning, shows various expressions on the guitar, and moves on to a beautiful bossa nova part at the end, is amazing that is like a reflection of his musical vision. Other highlights include "La Rana" fantastic Spanish cover of Joao Donato's Psyche Bossa classic and "Samba Do Aviao", a cover of Jobim's classic that begins with a serene atmosphere, there are two elegant guitar solos by Agustin, and Guillermo Reuter's score groovy number “Tema Barroco”. True mastepiece. Norway original.
アルゼンチンに於けるボサノヴァの先駆者Agustin Pereyra Lucena。本作は長期に渡り滞在していたノルウェーにて地元のミュージシャンも交えたQuartet名義での80年の作品。イヴァン・リンス、アントニオ・カルロス・ジョビン、ジョアン・ドナート、バーデン・パウエルのカバーに加えオリジナルも4曲収録しています。まずラストに収録のスピリチュアルな出だしから様々な表情を見せるギタープレイ、最後の美しいボサノヴァパートへと移っていく15分を超えるオリジナル曲”Encuentro De Sombras”が彼の音楽観を映し出したような渾身の一曲。他にもジョアン・ドナートのサイケ・ボッサ名曲の絶品スペイン語カバー”La Rana”や清閑な雰囲気から始まるジョビンの名曲カバー”Samba Do Aviao”に加え、優雅なAgustinのギターソロ2曲にGuillermo Reuterスコアのグルーヴィな”Tema Barroco”も収録。どこから聞いても間違いない志向の一枚。マスターピース。ノルウェーオリジナルです。
