Norito Sumitomo is a leading wind synthesizer artist and currently a very successful composer and saxophonist. This work is a private work that was quietly released around the age of 23. It is unclear if this album was produced after returning from Berklee College of Music, but the music is based on jazz and fusion, with an excellent sense of obscurity and strangeness. All the tunes are good, especially recommend the thrilling and groovy electronic jazz fusion A3 "Summer Snow", well-developed obscure tune A1 "Kirin's Longing" and the beautiful ambient/smooth type jazz tune A2/B3. Impressive and sophisticated album.
ウインドシンセサイザーの第一人者にして現在は超売れっ子作曲家/サックス奏者として知られる住友紀人。本作は23歳頃にひっそりとリリースしていたプライベート作品。バークリー音楽大学から帰国後に制作されたのかは不明ですが、ジャズ～フュージョンを軸にオブスキュア/ストレンジ感覚にも秀でた楽曲構成。どの曲もいいですが、スリリングでグルーヴィな電子ジャズ・フュージョンA3”夏の雪”、展開も練られたオブスキュア調のA1”きりんくんのあこがれ”、美しい展開を見せるアンビエント/スムースタイプのA2/B3など特にオススメ。洗練された素晴らしいアルバムです。
