Soundtrack to the 1985 film "Yasha" which depicts the world related to the Japanese Mafia Yakuza. The musical side is handled by jazz pianist Masahiko Sato, Belgian harmonica player Toots Sielmans, and Godiego Yukihide Takekawa. The dopey textures and statelessness that represent the thrills and human drama are beautifully portrayed with a touch of jazz. The A-side which includes "Winter Green And Summer Blue" sung by Nancy Wilson and other ambient/new age type tunes is particularly wonderful.
85年に公開されたヤクザにまつわる世界を描いた映画「夜叉」のサウンドトラック。音楽面をジャズピアニスト佐藤允彦、ベルギー人ハーモニカ奏者トゥーツ・シールマンス、Godiego武川行秀が担当。劇画のスリリングや人間模様を表したドープな質感や無国籍感がジャズのタッチで描かれています。特にNancy Wilsonが歌う”Winter Green And Summer Blue”やアンビエント/ニューエイジ的な楽曲を含むA面が素晴らしい。
