A master work in which Shakuhachi (Bamboo Flute) player Hozan Yamamoto performed with a quintet led by jazz guitar virtuoso Shungo Sawada. It has attracted particular attention for its fusion of Min'yō, bossa nova, and jazz, and includes familiar "Sanosa" by Eri Chiemi, the outstanding performance of the Nagano Min'yō "Kiso Bushi", rhythmic jazz bossa “Sado Okesa” and Kumamoto Min'yō “Itsuki No Komoriuta" that can be played in a relaxed manner. Hozan Yamamoto, who was also well versed in jazz, must have been the reason for this groove. Incredible.
