Cloud Dance's only work, in which 9 musicians engaged in contemporary or rock music field, who were active deep underground in NY gathered together to collect gem music woven from ethnic music, experimental music, soul, minimal,more. The first of all "Cloud Dance", a 10-minute cold funk type tune with female vocals, which is filled with Middle Eastern rhythms、funk, percussion, tabla and more in a minimalist refrain on "Light Shower"、 floods with spiritual ambience "Float"、Dance-free "Gone" with funk, dub essence、percussion and tabla silently reverberate through the minimal track "Shake". A masterpiece without any discarded tunes.
NY地下深くで活動していた現代音楽やロック等に携わるミュージシャン9人が結集して民族音楽、実験音楽、ソウル、ミニマルなどを素材に紡ぎ出された珠玉の楽曲が並ぶCloud Danceの唯一作。まずは中東のリズムを纏い女性ヴォーカルが幻想的に漂う約10分に及ぶコールドファンク調の”Cloud Dance”、ファンク成分、パーカッション、タブラ等がミニマルにリフレインする”Light Shower”、スピリチュアルなアンビエンスを溢れる”Float”、ファンク、ダブなどが香るダンスフリーな”Gone”、パーカッション、タブラが黙々と響き続けるミニマルトラック”Shake”など捨て曲一切なしの超傑作。
