The only album by the Milky Way, the duo of Makoto Matsushita, a guitarist who has a brilliant many works as an arranger, solo works that deepens with each work, AB'S and Paradigm Shift activities, and Kazuo Nobuta, a keyboardist who has worked as an arranger for Seiko Matsuda and others, as well as composing music for movies, animation, drama such as "Tsuribaka nisshi" (Fishing Fool's Dairy) series. A sophisticated adult-oriented BGM collection that interweaves cover songs by two musicians who are also in a teacher-student relationship. All of them feel good, particularly AOR's masterpiece cover "Jamaica Moon", amazing arranged cover of "A Summer Place" written by Max Steiner, and Jobim's bossa cover "Wave" are amazing. One of Japan's best summer albums.
作品毎に深化していくソロ作はじめAB'Sやパラダイム・シフトの活動、アレンジャーとしても華やかな実績を持つギタリスト松下誠と松田聖子はじめアレンジャーとして活躍しながら”釣りバカ日誌”など映画、アニメ等の作曲まで幅広く活動してきたキーボーディスト信田かずおの二人によるミルキー・ウェイの唯一作。師弟関係でもあるという二人によるカバー曲を織り交ぜた洗練されたアダルト・オリエンテッドなBGM集。どれも気持ちいいですがAOR名曲カバー”ジャマイカ・ムーン”、米映画「避暑地の出来事」用にMax Steinerが書き下ろした”A Summer Place”の極上カバー、ジョビンのボッサ・カバー”波”あたりは最高。日本屈指の夏の名盤。
