Debut single in 1973 by the folk unit Anzu, which Megumi Fukui aka C.Memi, who later released cult new wave singles after visiting New York, had formed in the early 70s with her high school classmate Kanako Kuwabara. Despite the despairing lyrics, "No Bright Tomorrow", which seems to increase in strength in the second half on A side, Kissa rock-style “No Fears For Wind” on B side is also charm. Super hard to find. The band seems to have broken up in 1975, but you can listen to more of their music in the collection of works released in 2002.
後にニューヨークを訪れた事を機にカルト・ニューウェーブシングルを発表するC.Memiこと福井めぐみが高校の同級生桑原加奈子と70年代初頭に結成していたフォークユニット杏の73年作。両面ともに深町純がアレンジを担当。絶望的な歌詞ながら後半にかけて力強さを増していくような名曲”輝く明日はない”、B面には喫茶ロック調の”風は何も恐れはしない”も不思議な魅力に溢れています。75年に解散を迎えるようですが2002年リリースの作品集でその他の音源も聴く事ができます。
