Self-produced album by Wani, which seems to be a one-off reggae project. The members are Hiroaki Tanaka, a percussionist who has been involved in a wide range of musical activities in addition to Rockin' On Magazine, Atsushi Ono, a saxophonist, and Shoji Haruna, a saxophonist who has played on many major and indie albums. The title track “Individual” with its tight groove and the funky wild “Jah No Dead” with its impressive synths at the beginning are especially outstanding. Quite rare to find.
ワンオフレゲエプロジェクトと思われるWaniによる自主制作盤。メンバーには現ロッキンオンでライナー業の他多岐に渡る音楽活動を続ける打楽器奏者でもある田中宏明、サックス奏者 小野篤志、メジャーインディ問わず数多くの作品に参加するサックス奏者 春名正治が連ねています。以降の活動からも垣間見えるジャズやファンクのエッセンスを持ったセンスいいレゲエナンバー4曲を収録。とりわけタイトなグルーヴのタイトル曲”Individual”、序盤の印象的なシンセから始まるファンキーワイルド”Jah No Dead”は秀逸。かなり見かけません。
