Pafe Record, which expanded its activities based on live houses or media in Toyama and moved its base to Tokyo when its leader Takayuki Muranaka moved to there, released unique artists that were distinctly different from others, such as Pale Cocoon. This is a compilation of four artists, label number 5 in 1985. Among others, the four-piece new wave band Ego'n Mole's Balearic-tinged smooth pop "Summer Hollow Sky", Pale Cocoon member's T.Kusano and M.Morita's unit Funeral Party's unique oriental groove "Das Sunde (Guilty)", and and the performers' collective Picture Record's experimental track "Abnormal" are great. Artwork is by Kamui Fujiwara, known for his work on Open Sesame! Includes an insert and a pay-per-view with the catalog of the time.
富山のライヴハウスやメディアを拠点に活動を広げ、主宰の村中隆之の上京に伴い東京に拠点を移しながらPale Cocoonに代表される他とは一線を画した才能を放ったPafe Record。本作は85年のレーベル5番に当たる4組のアーティストによるコンピレーション。とりわけ四人組ニューウェーヴバンドEgo'n Moleによるバレアリック雰囲気のスムース・ポップ”夏のくもり空”、 Pale CocoonのメンバーT. KusanoとM.MoritaによるユニットFuneral Partyによる独特の世界観を描いたオリエンタル・グルーヴ”Das Sunde (Guilty)”、パフォーマー集団Picture Recordによるエクスペリメンタル・トラック”アブノーマル·他”は出色。アートワークはOpen Sesame!などで知られる藤原カムイが手掛けています。インサート、当時のカタログが載ったペイパー付き。
