The 4th in a series of cassette book created by CSV Shibuya, a studio, distributor, and record/audio store located in Shibuya from 1985 to 1988. The A-side features artists with a history of releases, such as the Ari Project, while the B-side includes seven songs selected through a screening process. Among the B-sides, recommend the urban synth-pop "Late Night Music" by the three-piece unit Style, Synetics Music's "Fjord Ondo" a variation on a Norwegian folk song that combines analog and digital sounds, and Farad's "Wandering in Time" with its strange balance of modulated electronic sounds and singing. On the A-side, A2/A3 by Ari Project are great. The differences in the recording quality are unavoidable, but it is an interesting compilation. Booklet is included, but the outer case is missing.
85年から88年まで渋谷にあったスタジオ、ディストリビューター、レコード/オーディオショップが併設したCSV渋谷が手掛けたカセットブックシリーズの第4弾。A面には蟻プロジェクトなどのリリース歴のあるアーティストを中心に、B面は審査にて選ばれた7曲を収録。中でもB面では三人組ユニットStyleによるアーバン・シンセ・ポップ”夜更けのMusic”、Synetics Musicによるアナログとデジタルの融合を図ったノルウェー民謡の変奏曲”フィヨルド音頭”、Faradによる変調した電子音と歌の不思議なバランス感が面白い”時の彷徨”などオススメ。A面では蟻プロジェクトによるA2/A3あたり面白いです。レコーディングの差は致し方ないですが興味深いコンピレーション。ブックレットついてますが外ケースは欠品しています。
