”Techii'' was a techno-pop/new wave music magazine published from June 1986 to December 1988. This is one of the supplements that was included Flexi-disc, which was the main project and included 10 excellent tracks selected by the judges from the demo tapes. The judges for this Vol. 5 are Toru Okada of the Moonriders and composer Haruo Kubota. Of particular interest are "Shigeo Kato - Hari Hari" a lovely synthe tune that sounds like a toy instrument, and ennui pop style "Kimio Yano - Parnassian on Sunday". Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi, Masaya Matsuura, and other top artists served as judges for this magazine project that is still talked about today.
1986年6月から1988年12月にかけて発行されていたテクノポップ・ニューウェイヴ系音楽雑誌「Techii」。その目玉企画であった、デモテープを募り審査員が選んだ優秀作10曲がソノシートに収録される付録の一つがこちら。このVol.5ではムーンライダーズの岡田徹と作曲家 窪田晴男が審査員を務めています。中でもおもちゃの楽器を使ったような音色が愛らしいヘンテコシンセ曲”加藤茂生 – ハリ・ハラ”やアンニュイ系ポップ”矢野公雄 – 日曜日のパルナシアン"は興味深い内容。細野晴臣、高橋幸宏、松浦雅也など一流のアーティストが審査員を務めた今でも語り継がれる雑誌企画。
