A super local record left behind by Jimmy Hashiguchi, born in Yokohama, who lived a life full of vitality including work, sports, gambling, women, and DJing. This is a completely self-produced album that was produced in Matsuyama, Ehime, where he was based, by raising funds himself, arranging a studio, and with the cooperation of his friends. The main track, "Shocking Jimmy 31" a 15-minute disco number with 12 Min'yō songs inserted as if sampling jazz, has a huge impact. Other tracks with French singer Joy include instrumental breezin fusion "Inspiration", funky disco style based on soul and black music "Hop Step Jump", sweet number “Beautiful Woman”, and his DJ-style narration. 仕事、スポーツ、ギャンブル、女、DJとバイタリティに溢れた生活を送っていたという横浜生まれの韋駄天 ジミー橋口が残したご当地レコード。拠点にしていた愛媛・松山にて自ら資金集め、スタジオの手配等々、そして仲間の協力を得て制作された完全自主制作盤。まずはA面にメイントラックである、ジャズをサンプリングするように日本のジャズである民謡を12曲差し込んだ15分超えのディスコナンバー”Shocking Jimmy 31”がインパクト特大。他にもフランス人シンガーJoyと共に長年のDJ経験を感じさせるインスト・ブリージン・フュージョン”Inspiration”、ソウルやブラックミュージックを土台にしたファンキー・ディスコ調”Hop・Step・Jump”、最後を締めるスウィート・ナンバー”Beautiful Woman”、自らのDJ風ナレーションまで収録。その風貌、インサートの文章も愛に溢れた、人情味を感じぜずにはいられないコイサーなレコード。まず東京では見かけないですね。
