Self-produced album by P.C.B., an 8-piece jazz band with saxophone, trombone, trumpet, in 1973. While covering the entire rock band Chicago, it total contains a groovy performance that has a free feeling based on jazz rock style produced by K. Suzuki. Among them "Introduction" shows neat performance with a slow and steady rhythm, "I'm A Man", jazz ensemble with an ethnic feel and a great flow from the middle part to the end and after a drum solo, a mellow vocal comes in from the middle part "Questions 67/68" are particularly recommended. A good quality album that also shows the high level of each performer's ability, which is different from a universal cover album. Cover also lovely.
サックス、トロンボーン、トランペットを従えた8人編成ジャズバンド P.C.B.の73年の自主制作盤。ロックバンドChicagoを全編カバーしていながらも、K.Suzukiプロデュースの元ジャズロックを基調にフリーな感覚も持ち合わせたグルーヴィな演奏を収録しています。中でもリズムの緩急をつけながら端正な演奏を見せる”Introduction”、民族的な雰囲気のジャズアンサンブル、中盤のパートからラストへの流れも素晴らしい”I'm A Man”、ドラムソロに続いて中盤からメロウなヴォーカルが入ってくるA4”Questions 67/68”などオススメ。普遍的なカバーアルバムとは一線を画す各人の演奏力の高さも伺える良質な一枚です。ジャケもそそります。
