Legend Takayuki Shiraishi has been active from the dawn of electronic music in Japan to the present day. After the release of BGM on Vanity in 1980, Takayuki Shiraishi met Jun Sonohara (ex Mongoose No Migiashi) at a meeting of participants of YLEM's "沫 Foam" compilation, and they recorded at home on a TASCAM 8-track open reel deck. After a series of recordings, they released only single under the MLD name was produced at the same time as Tristan Disco. Side A is "Perpetual Motion" which is a minimal sharp industrial beat with voice and piano inserted into it, creating a frenzied development. The B-side features the industrial drone "Megalith," which seems to reflect the experimental side. Like Tristan Disco, the quality and sound is unbelievable from indie scene.
日本のエレクトロニックミュージック黎明期から現在に至るまで活動を続けるレジェンド白石隆行。80年のVanityからのBGMのリリース後、YLEMのコンピレーション"沫 Foam"参加者のミーティングにてJun Sonohara (ex Mongoose No Migiashi)と知り合い、TASCAMの8トラックオープンリールデッキでホームレコーディングを重ねリリースされたTristan Discoと同時期に制作されたMLD名義の7インチシングル。A面にはミニマルに打ち込まれるキレのあるインダストリアル・ビートに声やピアノが差し込まれ狂乱的な展開になっていく”Perpetual Motion”、B面には実験的な側面が映し出されたようなインダストリアル・ドローン”Megalith”を収録。Tristan Disco同様にインディーズとは思えないクオリティ＆サウンド。かっこよすぎる。
