Formed by Yasushi Yamashita and Makoto Inoue, also known as the future Inoyama Land, Hikashu has led the scene by adopting a variety of styles while maintaining a constant flow of members. This work was made in 1984 for Jurgen Lehl's fashion show. At this time, the band was moving away from the techno-pop atmosphere and into a more uninhibited, improvisational style of music. Four tunes in total, including the dreamy and exotic "Lion Training", experimental free-wave type tune "My Pleasure" and "Sheep in a Melon," which combines hammer beats, jazz and environmental music elements. Just amazing!
後のイノヤマランドとしても知られる山下康と井上誠の二人により結成されメンバーの流動もありながら様々なスタイルを取り入れシーンを牽引してきたヒカシュー。本作はヨーガン･レールのファッションショーの為に制作された84年作。この頃はテクノポップ的な雰囲気からは離れ、より奔放なインプロヴィゼーションな独自の音楽性へ変化していた時。ドリーミーでエキゾな雰囲気の名曲”ライオンの調教”、エクスペリメンタル・ストレンジ・ウェーブ的な”それが, 私の愉しみ”、ハンマービート、ジャズ、環境音楽的要素が一体となったような”メロンの中の羊”など全4曲。傑作！
