George Orwell's "1984" depicts the horrors of a near-future world. This cassette book records the ”expressions” of critic Akira Asada and Dr. Umezu Band in an attempt to look at 1984, a turbulent time on the eve of the bubble after passing through the New Academia boom and postmodernism, from the inside and outside. On the musical side, the book contains approximately 60 minutes of performances that took place in cemeteries, train stations, riverbanks, warehouses, and waste disposal sites, in an attempt to capture the environment of 1984 as it was in that year. Akira Asada also reads the period from various angles. Incidentally, the book has the same title as Haruki Murakami's book, there seems to be a lot of rumors between Asada and Murakami from 80's. Rare.
