The fact that two earthen flutes were discovered in that place led to the restoration of the earthen flute by the print artist Toshiyuki Matsuoka. When Masuda Takemune learned of Hiroshi Tamura's ability to bring the sound of the flute back to life in the modern age, he introduced it on the radio, and began recording it in 1978. Each side contains one long piece of music using a variety of instruments in addition to the earthen flute.
