This 1983 album by Majida al-Roumini, whose father is a Palestinian-Lebanese composer and who is known as the next generation of the national singer Fairuz. The album features children's voices, which is typical of her wide repertoire from Arabic classics to pop songs, and includes two-disc set with a perfect balance of middle-eastern synth-pop, outlandish obscure pop, instrumental songs, and songs with cute melodies. All of them are interesting, particular obscure pop B3 and bewitching mid-funk D2 are great. A quality piece of unknown Lebanese music.
パレスチナ系レバノン人の作曲家の父を持ち国民的歌手Fairuzの次世代として知られる歌手Majida al-Rouminiによる83年のアルバム。アラブ古典からポップな曲まで幅広いレパートリーを持つ彼女らしく、本作では子供達の歌声をフィーチャーした作品でミドルイーストの絶妙なバランス具合のシンセポップ、奇想天外なオブスキュアポップ、インスト曲からかわいらしいメロディを持った曲までインストヴァージョンを追加した二枚組のヴォリュームで収録。どれも面白いんですが、電子音が舞うシンセポップB3や妖艶な雰囲気のミッド・ファンクD2は特に秀逸。知られざるレバノン産の良質な一枚です。
