Following our previous feature on the guitarist edition, here is the saxophonist edition of the series curated by Melopea, which compiles unreleased recordings by specific instrumentalists. The album features an opening track by indispensable allies of Melopea Bernardo Baraj and Nebbia, followed by Lulo Barrea’s elegant session with Quique Sinesi on “Toda mi ternura”, live recording of “Candombe de guerra” featuring Swedish-based Uruguayan tenor singer Hector Bingert and joining Domigo Cura, “Alguien que me vigile” by the Sax Ensemble featuring four saxophonists, Ricardo Lew, Adalberto Cevasco, Osvaldo Lopez, beautiful track “Mapamundi” by Gabriel Perez, arranged by Juan Carlos Ingaramo (ex Los Músicos del Centro), free jazz inspired “Canción de cuna del bosque” by Marcelo Peralta, one of Argentina’s leading saxophonists and mesmerizing, sensual performance “Naima” by Sergio Paolucci’s group. Every track is a real treat to listen to. Cassette-only release.
