1974 album by Puerto Rican singer Sophy, who gained popularity in Venezuela and Latin America after co-writing with Tito Puente. The album is directed by Eduardo Cabrera, a Cuban arranger who spent his whole life in Venezuela, and features excellent backing performances, ranging from Afro-Cuban, Latin pop, and ballads. There are no throw-away tracks, but our favorits are A2 “Si Hubiera Sido Ayer En Vez De Hoy”, A5 “Solamente Una Vez” and B2 “La Cuarta Parte”. Great underrated latin piece.
Tito Puenteとの共作から飛躍しヴェネズエラやラテンアメリカ諸国で人気を得たプエルトルコ人シンガーSophyによる74年作。ディレクションはキューバ人でヴェネズエラにて生涯を過ごした名アレンジャーEduardo Cabreraが手掛け、バッキングの演奏も際立ったアフロキューバン、ラテンポップ、バラードまで素晴らしい内容。捨て曲ないですが、A2”Si Hubiera Sido Ayer En Vez De Hoy”、A5”Solamente Una Vez”、B2”La Cuarta Parte”は特に当店お気に入り。いいアルバムです。
