Rick Sharp is a multi-talented artist from California who has been widely known as a poster artist from the 1970s to the present, and has also released three albums as a musician. He spent time in recording studios with various musicians who commissioned concert posters and album covers back then, apparently trading recording sessions for the artwork. This work is his third album released on his own private label in 1985. It features 10 tracks with organic/relaxed feeling centered around acoustic guitar, blending Hawaiian, surf music, folk music influences. The more you listen, the more soothing it becomes. It appears to have been a rare piece known locally for many years.
70年代から現在に至るまでポスターアーティストとして大きく知られ、ミュージシャンとしても3枚のアルバムが確認されているカルフォルニア出身のマルチアーティストRick Sharp。コンサートポスターやアルバムカバーを依頼してきた当時の様々なミュージシャンとレコーディングスタジオで時間を過ごしその芸術作品と引き換えにレコーディングを行っていたようです。本作は自身のプライ―ベートレーベルからのセカンドアルバムに当たる85年の作品。この作品ではキーボード、ドラム、ベースを入れた4人編成で制作された全12曲を収録。厚みのあるソフトロックから繊細なサウンドスケープを持つ楽曲、海や自然を想わせるオーガニックメロウな楽曲まで全編素晴らしい内容。未開封品をオープンしたNMコンデション。
