1989 release by South African composer M.J. Hlungwane and the vocal group Na Mpfumu Sisters. The album's biggest selling point is the production work by Thomas (Makhulela Endleleni) Motshwane, who has been involved in numerous cult hits since the 1970s. The tracks, sung in the Tsonga language, feature a diverse range of rhythms and sound effects that will tickle obscure soul. Particularly interesting for our ear are “Tiku Ra Kahle,” where dynamic rhythms intertwine with unique effects, danceable “Atikoteni” with its own primitive rhythmic pulse, and fresh feeling' tropical Afro number “Sathani Uhlulekile”. A quality, yet relatively unknown Afro work in excellent condition with shrink wrap.
南アフリカ人作曲家M.J. Hlungwaneとコーラス隊Na Mpfumu Sistersによる89年作。70年代より多数のカルト人気作品を手掛けるThomas (Makhulela Endleleni) Motshwaneがプロダクションを手掛けているのが最大のポイントでツォンガ語で歌われるオブスキュア心をくすぐる多彩なリズムやSEを用いた楽曲群が非常に印象的。躍動的なリズム使いとトビ系エフェクトが交わる”Tiku Ra Kahle”、独特のリズムが刻まれたダンストラック”Atikoteni”、新感覚(?)なトロピカルアフロナンバー”Sathani Uhlulekile”は特に面白いです。まだまだ知られていない良質のアフロ作品。シュリンク付きの美品。
