Gwakasonné, the group led by Robert Oumaou, the cultural father of the island nation of Guadeloupe, born of African and Caribbean fusion. This third album features 5 tracks including spiritual fusion “Respé” centered around Ka percussion, the soulful ‘Suzy’ brimming with grit and melancholy, sublime ambient type tune “Atmosphere” and dynamic exchange between Ka and electronic sounds “Lewoz”. It's filled to the brim with the collective's powerful performance and rich grooves. Just magnificent. The disc is in excellent condition, likely deadstock. The jacket features a paper copy of the original sleeve affixed to a plain sleeve. Naturally, the price reflects this condition.
