Swiss percussionist Peter Giger was a member of the German Krautrock group Dzyan and is known for his work with the percussion collective Family Of Percussion, which was formed after this release. This 1978 solo album was produced with such as extraordinary trombonist Albert Mangelsdorff, Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu, saxophonist Gerd Dudek. The improvisational space unfolds as they traverse boundaries, reaching mutual understanding through their interplay. Each piece draws you in, but fragrant improvisational exchange “To Marc Hellman”, African-sensibility high density ensemble “Trilokie” and heavenly sound “Gospel To Music” enveloping you in soft resonance, are particularly remarkable. The passionate essay on jazz printed on the back cover is also essential reading.
