UK experimental duo Contrastate's 1990 release. First, the overwhelming “Perhaps It Comes Out Of The Black Sea” evokes an ocean of earthy, pulsating drone. Also included are the title track “A Thousand Badgers In Labour,” blending industrial, drone, and ambient elements amplified electrically, and the pulse-grinding dark ambient piece “Memories Are Made Of This”. Three deep sonic soundscapes in total. The artwork also features a unique touch.
