Chêne Noir, a theater group formed in Avignon, southeastern France, was active in music in the 1970s as well as theater. This is their second album in 1976, and it is the culmination of their musical activities. They have created a cosmic jazz/fusion style based on poetry read by women, and the psychedelic fusion "Le Train" with its rhythmic beat and various tones is particularly wonderful. Other tracks include the mysterious B1 and the over 10 minute long A3/B2.
フランス南東部Avignonにて結成された演劇グループChêne Noir。演劇と並行して70年代には音楽活動も行っており、こちらがその集大成となる76年のセカンドアルバム。朗読される詩に宇宙的なジャズ/フュージョンのスタイルを完成させていて、中でも淡々と打ちこまれるリズミカルなビートに様々な音色が絡むサイケデリック・フュージョン”Le Train”が素晴らしいです、他にもミステリアスなB1や10分を超える長編曲A3/B2など終始彼らの美学に基づいたサウンドが収められています。傑作。
