A little-known great Brazilian piece by composer/singer Renato Rey, who is still active today based in Rio de Janeiro. The release is estimated to be from the late 80s to early 90s. With production by Wilson Nunes, an essential figure in Piry Reis's work, and featuring top musicians from Rio de Janeiro, including saxophonist Humberto Araújo, guitarist Cássio Tucunduva, and co-producer Ricardo Magno, this is a truly impressive album. Featuring laid-back AOR number “Flashback”, nostalgic “Aquele Beijo” accented by crystalline synths, and melancholic synth MPB track “Te Amo”, all showcasing magical arrangements throughout. It's simply remarkable album, almost bafflingly underrated.
