’73 album by Os Tincoãs, a band formed in Bahia and known as one of Brazilian masterpieces. It contains highly sophisticated tunes that combine the spirit of Afro Brazil, which was greatly influenced by the tradition of Candomblé, with the style of MPB and samba. Among the highlights are A1/A4 with mellowness in the elegant form, A5/B2 funky with candomblé atmospher, and B1/B6, a cheerful samba tune. Just wonderful.
ブラジル・バイーア州にて結成されたバンドOs Tincoãsによる名作として知られる73年作。民間信仰のひとつカンドンブレの伝統に大きく影響を受けたアフロ・ブラジルの精神にMPBやサンバのスタイルを融合させた非常に洗練された楽曲を収録しています。エレガントなフォームにメロウネスを感じるハイライトA1/A4、ファンキーながらカンドンブレの空気感を感じるA5/B2、陽気なサンバ・チューンB1/B6など聞き所満載。やはり他とは違う特別な何かを感じて頂けると思います。
