SSW Marlui Miranda from Ceara, Brazil, who is known as a follower of Milton Nascimento or Gismonti, and has left some works in the 1980s. This work is a CD released in 1995. This CD was released in 1995 and it's a collection of over 100 hours of recordings made on Amazon and arranged in a modern style with the full participation of Gilberto Gil, Uakti, Norwegian musicians, and others. Amazing contents thoughout, such as "Tchori Tchori", arranged by Uakti, which has been reissued in recent years, and "Mena Barsáa", which sounds like a forest spirit dwells. Gil also spent hours rehearsing and training the choir for three months to sing indigenous songs. German release version.
ブラジル・セアラ出身のSSW Marlui Miranda。ミルトン・ナシメントやジスモンチのフォロワーとして知られ80年代にもいくつかの作品を残していますが、本作は95年リリースのCD作品。こちらではアマゾンにて100時間以上の録音を収集し、それを素材にGilberto Gil, Uakti, ノルウェーのミュージシャンなども全面参加しながら現代風にアレンジを施した彼女のベストに挙げたい極上の楽曲集。近年再発もされたUaktiがアレンジを手掛けた”Tchori Tchori”、森の精霊が宿ったような”Mena Barsáa”など筆頭に捨て曲なし。ジルも何時間もリハーサルをこなし、合唱団が先住民族のように唄える為に三か月の訓練を行ったりしたようです。80年代を知るレコードリスナーにも是非聞いて頂きたい作品です。
