A mysterious gem from 1995 by musician named Alma Negra, who was probably active near Rio de Janeiro. Judging from the other members, it seems to be a collaboration with a network spanning funk, electro, and post-punk, but it's not clear. Contains a number of truly outsider tracks in a home-recorded funk style that combine a unique sense of rhythm and mixture. Can't believe such a thing still existed, which we would like to bestow the nickname of Brazil's Hoodoo Fushimi. And what a miracle that it was released on vinyl. Of course it was self-produced, and think it was probably pressed in 100 or 200 copies. Disc has some marks and small scratches, but it still enjoylable. Don't miss it.
リオデジャネイロ近辺で活動していたと思われるAlma Negraなるミュージシャンによる95年のミステリアスな一枚。他のメンバーから推測するにファンク～エレクトロ～ポストパンクにまたがる人脈とのコラボレーションといった体裁。特異なリズム感覚やミクスチャー感覚を併せ持った宅録ファンク調の正にアウトサイダーな楽曲の数々を収録。ブラジルのHoodoo Fushimiの異名を授けたいこんなものがまだ存在していたとは。そしてレコードでリリースされていた奇跡。もちろん自主制作、おそらく100枚とか200枚のプレス数な気がします。いくつかマークと小傷あり音に出る箇所ありますがまだまだ聞いて頂けると思います。ほとんどマーケットにも出ない非常に稀少にて高額で取引されているようです。お見逃しなく。
