A record for plants, released in 1974, produced by three musicians active in California. It was released by an independent label with the purpose of simply delivering pleasant music to plants, rather than using the usual vibrations, sound waves, etc. The entire album has a sound that feels like 70's environmental music, with a combination of easy listening, light music, jazz funk. Especially recommended are "Social Climbing Ivy" with smooth strings, delighful mellow funk "Garden Variety", obscure type organ funk ”Venus Fly Trap”. Good for a sunny weekend.
74年にリリースされたカルフォルニアの3人のミュージシャンによって制作された植物の為のレコード。よくある振動や音波を図って等でなくシンプルに心地よい音楽を植物に届ける目的にて自主レーベルより発表されたもの。イージーリスニング～軽音楽～ジャズファンクあたりを股にかけた環境音楽的サウンドを全編に展開しています。とりわけ伸びやかなストリングスが抜けていく”Social Climbing Ivy”、小気味いいメロウ・ファンク調”Garden Variety”、オブスキュア感覚でも面白い”Venus Fly Trap”はおすすめ。長年好事家には愛されているレコードのようです。晴れた週末なんかに聴きたいですね～
