The third album by the Hawaiian band "Island Band" which has gained a reputation for its uniquely Hawaiian style that incorporates reggae, new wave, electronic sounds. It seems that the second album was also released locally, however for some reason this work was only released in Japan. Among the exhilarating numbers, "Face To Face" is especially impressive with its cool tone that sounds like it uses a marimba-like instrument, n instrumental number "Idle Hours" with a Balearic atmosphere, and slow reggae style "I'd Rather Be Bored" are recommended. The content throughout is good.
レゲエ、ニューウェーブ、電子音などを取り入れたハワイきってのヴァーサタイルなスタイルで評判を得ていたハワイアン・バンド”Island Band”のサードアルバム。セカンドは現地でもリリースされたようですが、どういう事情からか本作は日本のみのリリース。爽快なナンバーが並ぶ中でも、とりわけマリンバらしき楽器をつかったような涼しげな音色も印象的な”Face To Face”、バレアリック雰囲気のインストナンバー”Idle Hours”、スローレゲエ風”I'd Rather Be Bored”はオススメ。全編と通じて好内容です。
