A recording album of live performance in 1972 by Quinteplus, a five-member jazz unit formed by drummer Pocho Lapouble and trumpeter Gustavo Bergalli, who belonged to the Jorge López Ruiz band. They were a short-lived band that experimented with folk music in a jazz mode, but their 1972 album is known as a masterpiece. Include the opening 13 minutes adult moded jazz tune "El Rapidon No Se Rinde" and melodic "Loberman, El Hombre Lobo" that is technical and attractive with various arrangements. It contains a wonderful performance that adds a certain technique to the jazz rock sound that seems to be in the 70's.
Jorge López Ruizバンドに属していたドラム奏者Pocho Lapoubleとトランペット奏者Gustavo Bergalliを中心に結成された5人組ジャズユニットQuinteplusの72年のライブの模様を収録した88年作。フォークをジャズ・モードで実験的に演奏していた活動期間の短いバンドだったようですが72年のアルバムは名作として知られています。冒頭の13分を超えるアダルトなムード漂うジャズ・チューン”El Rapidon No Se Rinde”、テクニカルで様々なアレンジで魅せるメロディックな”Loberman, El Hombre Lobo”を筆頭にいかにも70年代らしいジャズロックサウンドに確かなテクニックが加わった素晴らしい演奏が収録されています。
