Jaime Roos, one of Uruguay's top musicians, gathered members to realize a live performance of quality comparable to studio recording, after sessions and recording, Jaime produced this album because of the great chemistry between the members. Members are Hugo Fattoruso, Popo Romano, Diego Ebbeler, Rolando Fleitas (ex Repique), Gustavo Etchenique (ex Repique), Pablo Routin and Benjamín Medina. The album starts with a lively cover of Ruben Rada's "La Mandanga," followed by "Musa Medusa," a collaboration with Jorge Galemire sung by Jaime Roos, Hugo Fattoruso score "O Sambinha" that also appeared on his own album, and cover of Totem's song "Todos" on A-side. The B-side features Hugo Fattoruso's Latin mellow "Llamada Insolita," Popo Romano's kaleidoscopic instrumental "Definitivo," Mateo's cover acidic and strangely floating "Nombre de Bienes" and the bonus chorus track "...!?(?)". A crossover sound that brings together all the charms of Uruguayan music and is dedicated to Eduardo Mateo, who died during the recording process. The LP is almost impossible to find. This cassette version which has also not easy to grab.
ウルグアイのトップミュージシャンのひとりJaime Roosがスタジオ録音に匹敵するクオリティのライヴを実現する為にメンバーを召集し、セッション/録音を経た後にその相性の良さからJaimeがプロデュースしアルバムを制作するに至ったというグループこそこのLa Escuelita。メンバーはHugo Fattoruso, Popo Romano, Diego Ebbeler, Rolando Fleitas (ex Repique), Gustavo Etchenique (ex Repique), Pablo Routin, Benjamín Medina。躍動感に溢れたRuben Radaのカバー曲”"La Mandanga"に始まり、Jaime Roos歌うJorge Galemireとの共作”Musa Medusa”、Hugo Fattorusoスコアの自身のアルバムにも収録された”"O Sambinha"、Totemのカバー曲”Todos”を収録のA面。B面にはHugo Fattorusoのラテン・メロー”Llamada Insolita”、Popo Romanoスコアの万華鏡を覗くようなインスト曲"Definitivo"、アシッディかつ不思議な浮遊感のMateoの84年「Cuerpo Y Alma」からのカバー曲”Nombre de Bienes”、そしてオリジナルにのみ収録のボーナスコーラス曲"...!?(?)"を収録。全編ウルグアイ音楽の魅力を結集させたようなクロスオーバーサウンド。そしてレコーディング中に亡くなったEduardo Mateoに捧げられた作品でもあります。LPはほぼ不可能に近い位に入手困難。こちらも稀少となっているカセット版での入荷です。
