A self-released album in 1987 by musician Dan Mastroianni from Connecticut. The style is based on fusion and mixes jazz, funk, rock, Latin, more. We think the biggest listening point is the songwriting, which may seem ordinary at first glance, but somehow draws you in with Latin passion and romanticism. T2 "You & I", T4 "Shine", and T6 "Tears & Whispers" are especially outstanding. The original is hard to find now. 2014 Japan CD reissue version.
米コネチカット州出身のミュージシャンDan Mastroianniによるオリジナルは87年発表の自主制作盤。フュージョンをベースにジャズ、ファンク、ロック、ラテンなどをミクスチャーさせた、一見ありがちな体裁ですがどこか惹きつけられるラテンの情熱やロマンシズムを感じさせるソングライティングが最大の聞き所かなと思います。T2"You & I", T4"Shine", T6"Tears & Whispers"あたりは特に白眉。ドライヴィンな疾走感は角松敏生そっくりです。LPでの再発はないので知らない方も多いかもしれません。オリジナルは現在入手困難。
