A great compilation of performances by Ugandan musicians from 1964 to 1968. Although the album is titled "Sounds of Kampala" the musicians had to visit to Nairobi, Kenya, for recording because there were no recording studios in Kampala at the time. Under such circumstances, the album contains a sound that is influenced by Congo, Tanzania, and other countries in addition to Kenya, while sharpening its own musicality with a soft and warm groove.
