'91 by the 7-member Haitian Zouk band Pyebéf. The groovy and comfortable rhythm of Zouk/Latin tunes include such as "Solidarite Karayib" has an elegant atmosphere with an indigenous beat in the beginning and a killer transition to jazzy female vocals in addition, A3 "Mapouch" is also nice tune with its electronic sound and various rhythms. It's not well known, but quality.
7人組ハイチ人ZoukバンドPyebéfによる91年作。グルーヴィで心地よいリズムのズーク/ラテン曲を収録していて、まずはエレガントな雰囲気に土着的なビートが絡む序盤からジャジーな女性ヴォーカルへ移っていくキラーな仕上がりのB3”Solidarite Karayib”が最高、更に電子音が漂いながら多彩なリズムワークでしっかり展開も練られたA3”Mapouch”もいいです。あまり知名度ないですが上質なアルバムです。
