Cuban saxophonist Miguel Villafruela, born in 1955, studied at a local art college and after graduating from the Conservatoire de Paris, where he studied abroad, expanded his activities internationally. He is known as Cuba's first classical saxophone player, combining European technique and delicacy with Latin improvisation. This 1988 album, a sequel to the first album in 1986, contains a wider variety of songs, including originals, and gives the impression of greater freedom, from dynamic to graceful. The opening track with pianist Andres Alen and the avant feeling “Final” are highlights of the album. We also recommend this album. It's a little bit crackling.
