A compilation album by François Luambo, a Congolese musician known as a rumba virtuoso and nicknamed the "Sorcerer of the Guitar" for his fluid guitar playing. One of a series of 10 compilations released in 1989 when he passed away, this album contains the groove-manipulating rumba sound, from gentle tunes based on mature guitar to lively rhythmic tunes. The slow guitar playing and groove of A4 "Lola" and the tropical and warm rumba sound of A1 "Claude" are especially amazing.
ルンバの名手として知られ、流れるようなギタープレイから「ギターの魔術師」の異名を取るコンゴ人音楽家François Luamboの作品。亡くなった89年にリリースされた全10作あるコンピレーションシリーズの一つで、円熟味のあるギターを基調とした緩やかな楽曲から躍動的なリズムを奏でる楽曲までグルーヴを操るルンバサウンドを収録。特にゆったりとしたギタープレイとグルーヴで魅せるA4”Lola”とトロピカルで暖かみのあるルンバサウンドA1”Claude”は格別。
